GM Notes
Pathfinder 2nd Edition Conversion Notes (SPOILERS BELOW):
Despite what was mentioned last week in my reluctance to start Hero points until level 3 I feel like this entire episode regarding Casius’s death was an important road to go down in regards to playing Pathfinder Second Edition. Besides learning the rules for death and dying live, it made all the other players realize how dangerous this system truly is.
First Edition death and dying, and even Starfinder’s version where RP is burnt, operate differently from 2E’s version. Tyler was looking the rules up as we were in combat, and probably should have mentioned to Gibert (whose character Qandoso can stabilize from afar with a spell) about his character’s dire straits, but it happened so quickly there might now have been enough time.
We are moving forward from here with the knowledge we’ve gained from this ordeal and taking it to level 3 for the PCs and beyond.
