The crew is split and take up new lodging aboard “The Man’s Promise” but the more things have changed, the more their situation is the exact same. A storm rolls in and threatens to knock their novice ship and fledgling Captain Plugg off course, but before that happens we meet some new friends in the form of half goblin, quarter shark and quarter squid monsters!
GM Notes
Pathfinder 2nd Edition Conversion Notes (SPOILERS BELOW):
For those of you who know this Adventure Path, you know that the Grindylows are pretty important, as they take the place of your classic low level goblins fights. Lucky for me as we were prepping to start this campaign Paizo went and released their second edition Bestiary sequel, with Bestiary 2! Of course the Grindylow’s were included as a Creature Level 0 an made to fit perfectly here in this first AP volume.
I was happy that these little monsters performed similarly to their first edition counterparts, and will fill the role in the rest of this book well. In large numbers there tooth-some buggers are frightening, but individually just about all the party was able to take one down well.
