GM Notes
Pathfinder 2nd Edition Conversion Notes (SPOILERS BELOW):
So here is the big battle! The final climactic row that ends book 1. I have had stats for pirates, Mr. Scourge, and Owlbear ready for some time, but had just an attack block for Mr. Plugg. I went looking for some equivalent Level 3 creatures for inspiration, and imagined that if he took the time to have this amazing magical sword then that would be his focus as a combatant.
Anyway, this fight I think was a little more difficult than even the previous episode as 4 on 4 combats can get messy quick with a single critical hit or two or just disadvantageous positioning or initiative counts. Thankfully this battle turned out very balanced, though I think would have ranked as a severe challenge.
A quick rules clarification. Tyler misspoke during the heat of combat. The Twin trait doesn’t grant a bonus to attack but a bonus to damage. The attack roll was correct and the results stand.
