The pirate heroes continue their exploration of Bonewrack Isle as their search for water and their lost comrade meets new obstacles. They face new foes in the form of underground island denizens and arboreal attackers, but will they live through this onslaught in order to fight another day? Spoiler Warning: ‘No’.
GM Notes
Pathfinder 2nd Edition Conversion Notes (SPOILERS BELOW):
So obviously this week some things were thrown for a loop. At first I was planning that first combat to be a boar attack, but when I found the rules for the Ankhrav I realized I could just replace it in that fight well and stay true to the original AP book 1 source material. There will be some fights replaced and altered in the future, but this one was not.
No for the element in the room, the attack on Casius that took him down and our change to the rules. In the Core Rulebook, Hero points are not an optional rule, but I was always planning (and mentioned in a prior episode) that I wanted to hold off on them and incorporate them in the show (with perhaps some other additional abilities) at level 3…well that should have come a lot sooner. Part of the balance of this version of the rules is having sometimes that automatic stabilization at your fingertips.
Obviously next week’s episode is going to start with some important discussion about the podcast going forward, so tune in here for that!
